What is it to be your true self at work — not just the person filling a role, playing a part, acting professionally, or achieving a big project? Are you able to truly be your best and authentic self while maintaining professional credibility and influence?
Ever wish you could go back in time and change a decision? Live in another home, city or country? Drive a different car or make an out-of-the-ordinary purchase? Study something else or pursue an alternative career? Do you wish you married your first love, or put more effort into a friendship that ended?
Regrets in your life can keep you stuck. The more weighed down you are, the more difficult it becomes to move forward. So what qualms still plague your mind? What decisions or lack thereof still haunt you?
in all of the daily frenzy of a modern life, people are not only mentally unfocused and physically exhausted, but also have forgotten why they are doing so much running around in the first place. People spend a good deal of time doing, and very little time relaxing, stopping or simply being. I believe that in order to be truly happy and successful, you must learn to unplug and create a more rhythmic life that balances work with resting the body, mind and spirit.
Sounds simple, yet, how do you really reduce your speed?
Learn how to be authentically successful. Personal success is created by making choices that continually honor yourself, moving forward to reach your dreams and goals, and in the process, not betraying yourself along the way.
I admit it…I am a romantic at heart. I melt watching people hold hands, exchange sweet glances and give pecks to one another on the cheek. I enjoy seeing couples, young and old, honor their love by showing affection, warmth and kindness to each other.
What keeps you from fully expressing your own feelings and affections towards others? Do you have an open heart not only to your partner but also others in general? Are you comfortable in your own skin and feel confident about the person you are presenting to the world?
What does it mean to master your life? Does wisdom come from age? Experiences? Degrees and credentials? Being a student of lessons learned? I am well into mid-life and for some people at this same juncture, the 50’s brings on a melancholy mood after taking inventory of a life half complete. Yet for me, I remain excited about my golden years of stepping into a truer, stronger, fearless and wiser me. I have always loved the earlier part of decades because I see it as an opportunity to create not only a vision of what I would like to accomplish in the next 10 years but also determine how I want to step into my own deeper, richer evolvement.
What tempts you? Maybe it is the latest get-rich-quick scheme you read about on-line. Maybe it’s sex, power or prestige. Or possibly it’s money, possessions or a favorite dessert. When most people hear the word “temptation,” it stirs up thoughts of a wild torrid affair, a piece of chocolate, playing hooky, or taking a spontaneous trip where you leave it all behind.
So, what do you want? What if you could be curious about the desire that has been ignited within you?
I have been thinking a lot about wealth, abundance and success lately and what it means to manifest what you want. Abundance can mean different things to different people, and can include both the tangible and intangible areas of life.
Living abundantly encompasses creating and balancing your definition of wealth relationally, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically and financially. The most challenging of these areas for many women is around money and their thoughts about financial success.
What makes a person free? As we approach our country’s independence celebration, I often think about what freedom actually means. America was founded based on the desire for individual freedom, and we live in a country that provides enormous liberty, limitless opportunities and advantageous privileges. Yet, as individuals, I observe many people who do not feel free within the lives they have created. Sometimes they feel locked into their circumstances, restricted by their choices, and are scared to even question their lives, much less begin making changes.
But what if you could feel free to start living the life you are really meant to live? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to have complete and utter freedom? Do you know what freedom means to you?
What is it to be your true self at work— not just the person filling a role, acting professional or achieving big project? Are you able to truly be your best and authentic self while maintaining professional credibility and influence? For some people, they believe they must project a certain persona or even “fake it until they make it” in order to get ahead.
